Memorandum
of Friendship and Cooperation Between New Juaben Traditional
Council and the Municipal Assembly, Eastern Region,
Ghana And The Livingston County Chamber of Commerce,
New York,
United States of America
Upon
the invitation in 2007 of Daasebre Prof. (Emeritus)
Emmanuel Oti Boateng, Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional
Council, to Cynthia Oswald, President of the Livingston
County Chamber of Commerce, NY, to establish beneficial
relationships between their two communities, representatives
of the New Juaben Council and Livingston County have
met to exchange information, identify opportunities
for mutually beneficial relationships, and visit each
other's communities.
These
representatives have concluded that viable, mutually
beneficial relationships can be established between
New Juaben and Western New York, and that they can be
sustained by the New Juaben Traditional Council, the
Municipal Assembly and a volunteer-based, not-for-profit
organization in Western New York. Accordingly, we the
undersigned, have reached agreement on the following:
-
We wish to promote mutually beneficial relationships
of friendship, cooperation, and exchange between enterprises,
institutions, organizations, and people in both of
our communities;
-
We support the establishment of a volunteer-based,
not-for-profit institution in Western New York to
organize, support, and maintain these relationships
in cooperation with the New Juaben Traditional Council;
and,
-
We will support and assist representatives of our
communities to develop and sustain activities in service
of New Juaben and Western New York.
This
Memorandum of Friendship and Cooperation is signed on
July 31, 2008 [and shall be reviewed after a period
of two years.]
