Business
of the Year
Dom Genova
had worked as a Chrysler employee for seventeen years when
he decided to start his own dealership. In 1994 he moved into
a small building in Avon with employees, Dale, Robert, and
Sue. They became a "Five Star" dealership the first
year, the first dealership in the country ever awarded the
honor in their first year. In December 1997 the dealership
moved to its present location on 5&20 off 390. Since then
they have consistently ranked in the top 3 or 4 dealerships
for both sales and service satisfaction in the entire Update
Zone for Chrysler. Genesee Valley Chrysler Dodge Jeep is also
the largest Ram Pickup dealer in the Rochester area. Celebrating
their tenth anniversary this year, Genesee Valley Chrysler
Dodge Jeep has a lot to be proud of: an attractive new facility,
over thirty employees, and an exceptional record of service
to the farm and general community.
Congratulations
to Genesee Valley Chrysler Dodge Jeep!

A Success
Story ...
Design
FM, founded in Livonia, NY, in 2000, provides website development
and marketing consulting. The principals Becky Price and Lari
Whiting brought two very different skill sets and experience
to their new company. Becky has an extensive background in
computer-based training and graphic design, and Lari had a
career in sales and marketing.
"Our
business concept was very simple," Lari states. "We
provide quality products and services at a reasonable price,
and our corporate experience has shown us that exemplary customer
service is a must."
Lari and
Becky became involved with the Livingston County Chamber of
Commerce Tourism Committee shortly after they founded Design
FM. It was this involvement that has allowed their business
to grow significantly. Through contacts made the the Chamber's
Business After Hours networking program, and the Tourism Committee
over 60% of their projects have been a result of the relationships
established through the Chamber of Commerce.
"We
would never have experienced the growth and success of Design
FM were we not participating with the Chamber," said
Becky. "Our Chamber membership and involvement has
been of great benefit to us - both on a personal level as
well as business."
