COMMITTEE (Chamber)

Event Chair: Carol Carey, HSBC
The Ag Committee promotes farming as the number one industry
in the County. The Committee recognizes the contribution of
farms to the Livingston County economy. Every year, the Farmer/Neighbor
Evening brings approximately 300 farmers and their neighbors
together for a night of mutual appreciation.
GOLF
TOURNAMENT (LCEA)
Chair: Pat Call, Mortgage Consultant, Bank of Castile
Staff: Deborah Cisco, Financial Administrator
The Leadership Golf Tournament is the Chamber's major fundraiser.
The tournament brings business leaders from Chamber member
companies together for networking and golf. The highlight
of the tournament is the presentation of the annual Distinguished
Leadership award to an outstanding area leader.

This committee determines process, criteria and selection
for our award program and nominations to the Chamber Board
of Directors.
BUILDING
& GROUNDS COMMITTEE (LCEA)

PUBLIC POLICY (Chamber)
Chair: James Conigilio, Esq., Underberg & Kessler, LLP
The Public Policy Committee provides a means for Chamber members
to have a voice in government affairs. The Committee formulates
recommendations on positions for the Chamber board to adopt.
The Committee travels to Albany every year to meet with members
of the State legislative delegation and to present the Chamber's
government action plan.
SCHOLARSHIP
(LCEA)
Chair: Helen Zamboni, Esq., Underberg & Kessler, LLP
The Scholarship Committee meets in the spring to determine
the parameters of the Chamber's annual High School Scholarship
program. The Committee receives the scholarship applications,
evaluates the submissions, and determines the recipients.
The Chamber funds scholarships from membership investment.
Additional scholarships are funded by the NYS Dept. of Labor
JSEC Committee, Chamber's Ag Committee and Genesee Valley
Motors in years when there is a profit from the Farmer/Neighbor
Dinner.
SMALL
BUSINESS COMMITTEE (Chamber)

Staff: Janice Keane
The Small Business Committee works in conjunction with the
Small Business Development Center at SUNY Geneseo, Genesee
Community College, NYS Dept. of Labor (JSEC), Livingston County
Office of Economic Development, Alliance for Business Growth,
Genesee Valley Health Partnership, and many other community
partners to offer a series of workshops for business owners.
TOURISM
OFFICE (Chamber)
Director: Lisa Burns
The Tourism Office's marketing initiative is to promote our
many tourism friendly attributes and attractions. Included
in the marketing plan is publishing our annual 40 page Livingston
County Visitors Guide, producing special interest collaboration
such as the "Little Finger Lakes Wine Path" and
the Livingston County Birding Trail, maintaining our tourism
website, www.FingerLakesWest.com,
membership in regional and statewide organizations, participating
in tourism lobbying efforts on a local and state level, administering
the I Love New York Matching Funds Program (marketing grants
are made to our local festivals and events), print and radio
advertising, brochure distribution, direct mail fulfillment,
hosting Travel Writers, Editors and Group Tour Operation,
sponsoring "Familiarization" tours of the county
and much more.
A Tourism Council comprised of representatives from tourism
market segments - accommodations, attractions/retail, restaurants,
festivals/events, visitor services, education and community
at large meets once a month to guide the tourism, marketing
process for Livingston County. All county residents are welcome
and encouraged to become involved in tourism marketing.
