AG COMMITTEE
Chair: Les Cole
The Ag Committee promotes farming as the number one industry in
the County. The Committee recognizes the contribution of farms to
the Livingston County economy. Every year, the Farmer/Neighbor Evening
brings over 200 farmers and their neighbors together for a night
of mutual appreciation.

BUSINESS EDUCATION
ALLIANCE
Chair: Dave Dinolfo

Coordinator
The Business Education Alliance serves as a catalyst to bring business
and education together to achieve the mutual goal of building a
better workforce and producing good citizens. The Alliance facilitates
programs aimed at helping students become better prepared for jobs
and post high school education. BEA also manages over 70 Junior
Achievement classes in Livingston County schools.
FUND RAISING
COMMITTEE

The fund raising committee is running the Chamber's Capital Campaign
to raise funds for the new Chamber office.
GOLF TOURNAMENT
Co-Chairs: Jim Coniglio, Underberg & Kessler / Joe Bucci, American
Rock Salt
Staff: Deborah Cisco, Office Manager, Member Benefits Specialist
The Leadership Golf Tournament is the Chamber's major fundraiser
for the building fund. The tournament brings business leaders from
Chamber member companies together for networking and golf. The highlight
of the tournament is the presentation of the annual Distinguished
Leadership Award to an outstanding area leader.
LEADERSHIP LIVINGSTON
Staff: Donna Ellis, Program Coordinator
Leadership Livingston identifies emerging leaders in the community,
and provides exposure to the issues and assets in the community
to this group. In its first year, eight participants were engaged
in the monthly sessions, which take place at various pertinent locations
throughout the County. Topics discussed include government, public
safety, economic development, and human services.
PUBLIC POLICY
Chair: Jim Coniglio
The Public Policy Committee provides a means for Chamber members
to have a voice in government affairs. The Committee formulates
recommendations on positions for the Chamber board to adopt. The
Committee travels to Albany every year to meet with members of the
State legislative delegation and to present the Chamber's government
action plan.
SCHOLARSHIP
Chair: Judge Gerard Alonzo
The Scholarship Committee meets in the spring to determine the parameters
of the Chamber's annual High School Scholarship program. The Committee
receives the scholarship applications, evaluates the submissions,
and determines the recipients. The Chamber funds four scholarships
from membership investment. Additional scholarships are funded by
Chamber member businesses and the Chamber's Ag Committee in years
when there is a profit from the Farmer/Neighbor Dinner.
SMALL BUSINESS
COMMITTEE
Co-Chairs: Bonnie Swanson, Key Bank / Walt Issac, Livingston IDA
The Small Business Committee works in conjunction with the Small
Business Development Center at SUNY Geneseo to offer a series of
workshops for business owners. Seminar topics include starting up
a business, internet marketing, advertising layout, and tax preparation.
The Committee surveyed small business owners on the types of benefits
they offer their employees.
TOURISM
Chair: Lari Whiting, Design FM
Staff: Lisa Burns
The Tourism Committee promotes the appealing vacationing sites and
annual visitor events of Livingston County. Knowledge of these events
by visitors, prospective visitors and County residents fosters enhancement
and growth throughout the community. Members of the Tourism Committee
are kept up to date with all the planned visitor activities and
are involved in the promotion of future events. In the past, the
Committee has organized familiarization tours of the County's tourism
venues. The Committee has developed and maintains a website for
